ELECTRICAL & LEED SOLUTIONS
Dynalectric Los Angeles played a key role in the successful completion of this extensive, highly complex government electrical services project, which involved constructing a seven-story, LEED Gold certified Flight Projects Center. The center includes offices, meeting rooms, support facilities, a 429-seat auditorium and a 200-seat conference room.
Dynalectric Los Angeles’ role in this effort was to provide a complete package of electrical contracting services. This required bringing electrical service from the utility to the main distribution point, running bus duct to branch electrical power distribution panels, and wiring the building’s full complement of power and lighting. The company also installed the fire alarm system, and put in backbone for the communications and security systems. In the auditorium and conference rooms, the company installed audio-visual and dimming systems. Furthermore, Dynalectric contributed to the facility’s compliance with California’s Title 24 energy requirements and to its LEED Gold status by installing energy-efficient LED (light emitting diode) fixtures and a site lighting control system.
Today, Dynalectric Los Angeles continues to service JPL through an electrical maintenance contract that calls for the company to provide daily electrical maintenance services.
Other Information: Three other EMCOR organizations – EMCOR Government Services (EGS), EMCOR Services Mesa Energy Systems and EMCOR’s Facilities Knowledge Center (FKC) – are currently working with the JPL. EGS is providing facility operations and maintenance support. The FKC, EMCOR’s technical services center, provides online, realtime facilities management tools and technology. EMCOR Services Mesa Energy Systems performs annual and operational inspections of all site chillers.
GOVERNMENT FACILITY BACKGROUND
